Dairy Processing

In factories that store, process or even produce food, the legislature has a strict policy to clean the plants and their surfaces. The past has shown that the production sites are susceptible to contamination and can thus form a breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. In order to prevent this, all equipment, devices and surfaces have to be cleaned and disinfected daily, as well as deposits of the production have to be removed in order to ensure an optimal product quality.

Conveyor Lubrication

Conveyor lubricants have become indispensable, as bottling plants that fill several hundred bottles a minute would result in a huge economic impact.

The Calvatis ensures a smooth filling process with its various conveyor lubricants, which are matched to the operating water provided by the customer. Here, the interaction between conveyor lubricant and running water is important. The finest nozzles, which are tuned to the hardness of the water, ensure that the conveyor belt is uniformly covered with a film and thus all types of bottles can slide smoothly over the belt.

Container Cleaning

Every day, tens of thousands of litres are stored, manufactured and transported in tanks.

Residues and stubborn residues remain within the tanks. These are partly located in places which are difficult to access. Thus, an effective cleaning with our products must be ensured without manual help.

The microbiological effect is as important as the material compatibility of our products.

Membrane Cleaning

Membranes are found in a wide variety of separation processes nowadays.

New types of membrane forms and materials are constantly changing the requirements for the cleaning process. Decisive factors that create optimal results achieved are:

The concerted concentration of the cleaners

  • Cleaning temperature
  • Cleaning Time
  • Flow Velocity

Conditioning of the production environment – Air and water processing

The CIP cleaning is an automatic cleaning without the disassembling of any parts because the rinsing water and cleaning solution circulate through the systems, tanks and pipelines.

The CIP cleaning ensures the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene so that a perfect product quality can be guaranteed regarding consumer protection.

The CIP cleaning offers the following advantages:
  • Provides high water-savings through a closed-circuit cleaning
  • Automatic control
  • All surfaces, corners and spaces of the system to be cleaned are easy to grasp and clean
  • The concentration, the duration of the application and the temperature can be adjusted according to the cleaning preference

Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration is a filtration process, which is used particularly frequently in dairies or dairy processing plants. The microorganisms are separated from the milk with the help of the filters to make the milk more durable.

These filters are extremely difficult to clean, but they must always be hygienically cleaned to not compromise the quality of the product.

Pasteurisation

By the term pasteurisation, the short-term heating of substances to 60 to 90 ° C. for the killing of microorganisms is designated.

Pasteurisation is a process mostly for the preservation of liquid foods.

Pasteurisation kills most heat-sensitive microorganisms such as yeast or mould fungi. At the same time, however, a few germinating bacterial spores can remain. Pasteurised foods are thus not germ-free, but only germ-poor. They are therefore limited in durability.
